Lotusphere 2007 Speedgeeking

As part of the Lotusphere 2007 conference, our Technical Director Warren Elsmore used a number of techniques to demonstrate the power and capabilities of Lotus Domino. The sessions were christened 'Speedgeeking', as we had only 5 minutes to explain how we had put together a custom Domino based portal solution.

We're listed a few of the techniques used to do this in the PDF documents to the right. If you would like any more information on how this was accomplished, please feel free to contact us.

The techniques we covered included:

  • Configuring Domino with an IIS front end server, to authenticate against AD, AND remove the SSL load from the server
  • Configuring SSO between Sametime and servers that use internet site documents
  • Configuring a 'my places' portlet using just HTML
  • Managing documentation with a free wiki
  • Applying a Sametime look and feel to Quickplace
  • We've exported two PDF files from our internal knowledgebase, explaining how this was put together. The first explains how we integrated Domino and Internet Information Server, to accelerate SSL access and authenticate against AD.
The other PDF shows the tips and tricks we used to integrate some of the other portal elements. All explained, and all FREE!
