About the "Chat to me now" feature on this website

Have you noticed the "Chat with a Lotus expert now" in the menu on the left? If the item above is available in the menu then someone from the BE Systems support team is available to chat to you, real-time, on any IBM Lotus topic. You don't have to be an existing customer or even part of a business, just click the link and chat.

Unfortunately, we are not always on line. If the item is not in the menu then no one is available. The feature is dynamic so it will automatically appear when someone is available to chat with you.

The name of the person you are chatting to will appear in the window at the top of the page. Please let the support person know who you are.

How does this feature work?

"Chat with a Lotus expert now" is a custom solution designed with IBM Lotus Sametime. Sametime is an enterprise level instant messaging platform for real-time collaboration. This custom solution allows "anonymous" website visitors to real-time chat with a support team.

Take a look at the screenshots on the right to see how the guest visitor panel looks and how the support personnel receives and replies in real-time.

You can get answers right away - just click and chat.

Can you help me remotely?

When you chat with BE Systems using the "Chat with a Lotus expert" feature, you can add tools and start a "net" meeting. You can then share your screen with a support agent or consultant and view what you are viewing. As the feature is all web based this can typically be from any computer that has a Java compatible web browser connected to the internet. This can be extended to connect to your customers and support your support team from anywhere in the world.


Nb - this feature has currently been restricted to MS Internet Explorer browsers on this website due to issues with BE Systems configuration and Java 6 with mozilla browsers. This solution does work with all other browsers but it's been suspended until these issues are resolved. Switch to MS Internet Explorer temporarily to chat "real-time" with BE support teams. Thanks
